Chico Senior Softball 2024 Season News:
General News:
Our 2024 season has come to an end and all news on this website is now for the upcoming 2025 season.
Further details and information about our league are available on our FAQ’s and Policy pages. If you still have questions, you can contact the league as listed on our Contact page.
2025 Registration:
Registration for our 2025 season should begin sometime in January 2025, date TBD. Please check our Registration page starting in January 2025 for when 2025 registration opens up.
2025 Tentative Game Plans/Schedule:
All subject to change
Games tentatively begin on Monday, March 31, 2025.
Open: Tues & Thurs Evenings, (24 games + playoffs.)
Veterans: Mon & Wed Evenings. (24 games + playoffs.)
Masters: Tues & Thurs Mornings. (26 games.)
The season's games are played at Sycamore Field, which is located in Bidwell Park near Caper's Acres.
Rainouts or other re-scheduled games may be played on any weekday evening, and/or possibly on another field, as they are available.
League Batting Practices:
Our 2024 league practices have ended as of Aug 22, 2024. See our Announcement here for more details when it resumes in March 2025.
Who/What is Chico Senior Softball?
2025 will mark Chico Senior Softball's 41st season where members of our community and the surrounding area, age 47+ in 2025, can play softball in divisions based on age ranges.
Our 3 age-based divisions are,
• Open: 47 years of age and above.
• Veterans: 55 years of age and above
• Masters: 65 years of age and above
Members of Chico and the surrounding area are all welcome in our league. We do not have any geographical boundary for who we welcome (2023 included a member from Quincy).

2025 Sponsors:
Sponsors are needed to help defray the costs of the 2025 season.
If you, your business, or anybody you know would like to sponsor our league this year the Sponsorship Form is available/downloadable in the Documents/Photos section of this site in both Word (.doc) & pdf formats.
You can also sponsor online under the Sponsors menu or clicking here.
What you get as a sponsor is,
a. Your name on the back of a team's uniform.
b. Listed on our Sponsors page.
c. Your logo included on all our page side panels rotated randomly.
d. Your logo rotated randomly in our banner at the top of all pages.
e. All logos on our site include a link to your website.
f. Knowing that you are helping the Chico & North Valley community.
>>> NEW - Carry-Over Items:
Chico Senior Softball has added a new Carry-Over document towards the end of our available documents in our, you guessed it, “Documents” section. Any items that the CSS Board of Directors decides to table until next year are added to this document on a as-needed basis. Once the current season is over the Board of Directors will review and re-visit these items for the upcoming season.
(From the April 11th meeting, a re-visit of the “Foul to Give” rule was added.)
